Get ready for the GolfN app: Are you ready to earn rewards for golf?

The launch of the GolfN App open beta is right around the corner. Are you ready to finally get paid to play golf?
We’ve shipped a lot from the launch of the project over 18 months ago, from the sweepstakes to the Portal, Pro Shop, partner badges like BONK, Kanpai Pandas and Bettinardi, and of course, the Genesis collection. And while many of our most avid community members have opened packs, stacked their sets and grown their points balances, as the Masters approaches and the golf season begins, you may just be beginning to hear about GolfN.
That’s okay, it’s never too late. But you better start now if you want to still be “early.” Here’s a primer on what you need to know about GolfN’s digital collectible utility and rental economy before the app is live this spring:
- GolfN’s Genesis collection was minted last spring. The Portal, which lets cardholders earn points before the app is out, was launched last summer. Points for caching will run out this summer, but it will still pay to cache completed sets through “Levels.”
- “Cached sets” are different from “playing sets” in the app. Cached sets are many different combinations based on their rarity and types. A “Playing Set” is any type of driver-iron-putter that is equipped for rounds when you play in the app. | How it works
- GolfN will be offering traditional memberships to golfers who might not be familiar with NFTs. Their membership tier will determine how many clubs they can rent per round and the rarity odds of the clubs they are given.
- GolfN Points will be redeemable for many things in the GolfN app, including Pro Shop purchases, sweepstakes entries and, eventually the Axiom $GOLF token.
What to do if you’re already caching sets

If you’ve been caching sets, that’s great! You’re ahead of the game and are poised to benefit.
- Make sure you maintain your levels by keeping sets consistently cached. Even when the caching points run out, your level will be very valuable for the rental economy.
- GolfN will open up the app beta to cardholders very soon and has allocated points to early users. We want you using the app, get familiar with the in-game dynamics and provide devs valuable feedback on how we can improve and what should be prioritized on the roadmap.
Not caching sets yet? Here’s what you can do:
- There is still time to grab a complete set and cache it. Then grab a tee gift or partner badge to boost the daily caching rewards. Even when the caching rewards run out this summer, you’ll get a head start on your levels which is valuable for the rental economy. Remember, Genesis collection will never expire as future collections will.
- If you can’t swing a full set, pick up a partner badge, like a BONK badge, which will get you started on the points.
- Or, get a playing set. It’s easier to find any driver-iron-putter combination than cache a card set. This will let you earn during each round you play.

Holders and non-holders: Start stacking digital golf balls
When GolfN accounts page launched for the Golf Adventure of a Lifetime Sweepstakes, it created the ability to share a referral code. You can share this code to all your golf buddies and when they sign up and complete their account, you’ll receive a free digital golf ball to use in the app. Digital golf balls will be required to earn during your rounds. You can purchase balls by the sleeve or by the dozen. Or, onboard all your golf buddies to GolfN and when they sign up for an account you’ll earn them for free. Go to your account page.
How the GolfN app rental economy works
Anyone can use the GolfN app for free, and you can receive tickets when you play a free round that are good for sweepstakes and other in-app prizes. But if you want to earn maximum points when you play, you’ll need to play a golf ball and three cards before you tee off. But we know not every golfer understands NFT utility, so we abstracted them into a traditional membership that earns points by renting clubs from card holders. Here’s how it works:

Collectors don’t need to do anything to have their clubs rented out and earn. But the more clubs you have and the higher your level, the greater odds your clubs will be rented out and you’ll get a cut of the round’s points upon completion.
Are you ready to start using GolfN? Holders have already gotten access to the Alpha version of the app and they’re using all the features and even getting rewarded bonus points for playing round and submitting feedback. If you’re ready to start using the app, get a card on Tensor, get verified as a holder and start elevating your golf experience with GolfN.
